Wildlife Carers Assistance Australia Fund
Did you know that wildlife carers pay for all of the supplies they need out of their own money and majority of our carers are retired or on a pension?At this present time there is no assistance available for Australia's volunteer wildlife carers.The supplies needed to raise an animal range from hundreads to thousands and often include medical and vet bills as well!
Australias precious wildlife need our help and our wildlife carers need help too, I truly believe if there was more support more people would volunteer there time to help care and reabilitate animals in need.With the recent natural weather events such as drought, bushfires and flooding it is becoming more important than ever to try and get support for our lovely carers that do such amazing selfless work with their free time.
The support we provide includes;- Medical supplies, medicine and equipment, assistance to cover medical and vet bills.- Equipment needed to care for an animal, teets and bottles, tweezers, tongs, bags, cages, bowls, bacterial aids, bandages, wound support, stints and slings.- Food, formulas, milk powders and supplements.- Cleaning and sanitising products, animal bacterial wash and spray products.- Transport costs to rescue, collect or deliver fauna.- Website design for carers to register the needs for animals in their care.- Postage costs to send packs to carers.- Vouchers for extra rehabilitation products, supplements and formulas.
Our individual care packs and online vouchers are for specific animal needs for our wildlife carers so they can have the peace of mind knowing they are supported in the journey of caring for our fauna in need when it is needed the most.

This idea was born from being a volunteer wildlife carer, prioritising animals needs and seeing this need grow tremendously and volunteer numbers decreasing with the cost of living.
We are in the process of becoming a not for profit charity so this can grow and become Australia wide and hopefully world wide one day!The more our population grows, the smaller our wildlife population numbers are along with their habitats, and I truly hope others see the need for this support service as much as I do.
I have personally been a wildlife carer in numerous groups and states for the past 16years, Im also excited to volunteer my time to get the packs together and distribute them along with keeping everyone updated on our facebook page until this cause grows enough support for expanding and accepting assistance.

Our Mission
As a small dedicated and passionate not for profit group we aim to support Australia's Wildlife carers so that they continue to do the amazing work for our wildlife in need without feeling the pressure to give up everyday personal needs.

By doing this we also hope it encourages more people to help our wildlife and hopefully become carers themselves. Our carers are often overloaded with animals and sadly some animals can't get the rehabilitation they need because of this.

We will continue to raise awareness, create passion and support this very important cause until it is recognised as a priority, Australia wide and hopefully one day world wide.
